She shares her personal motivation stemming from her sister's traumatic experience with SGBV, highlighting the pivotal role of educating and empowering young girls in the community. With last week being valentines, we are all rebounding from a full week of flowers, chocolates, dinner dates, lots of cute couple photos and the now popular money bouquets. Also thrown in the mix is good dose of love and marriage conversations. But the uninvited guest in all of this is the feeling of rejection, disappointment and hurt from unreciprocated love. What if the person you were hoping would ask you out for valentines just shared their mini-vacation photos by the pool ... with someone else?! Unrequited love is a tale as old as age and we'll talk about it today. I share my experience and two main lessons i gleaned from what felt like a near-death experience.
